Piece By Piece: Mother’s In Art

An exploration of the pieces of a woman: STRENGTH • SENSUALITY • STRUCTURE • September 16 through October 28

Curated by Katherine Tolve, this first of it’s kind exhibit, is a collective comprised of mother artists with young children. Each artist approaches her creative process differently. Simultaneously each shares the task of rewriting the myth surrounding female artist with children. This exhibit is Sponsored by The Ensworth Foundation of the Bank of America Philanthropic Solutions.

Little Artist mini program will be held at the Windsor Art Center from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM each Thursday through October 12. This mini program is intended for children ages 2-5 (older and younger siblings welcome) children will enjoy listening to stories and will create a craft. Led by artist/educator Katherine Tolve.

FRIDAY • October 13, 5-9:00 PM.
Workshop: Intro to Linocut. One of the simplest of all printmaking methods, linocut is a great technique to get you started in printmaking. Printmaker Kathleen Woodward takes you through the process of designing and carving your own linoleum block to create a small edition of printed images. Walk away with your block carving, a beautiful suite of unique– editioned set of prints, and the skills to make more! Workshop fee: $40 (pay by check or PayPal)  Materials: $40 (paid to instructor).

Embrace Yourself Mini Photoshoot:
Photographer Katrina Russo will be offering 1-hr mini photoshoots/headshots for women to help engage and embrace their self-confidence. $95 per hour and includes 5 digital images. Please call 860.604.7075.
