Thomas Flippin
is an award-winning American classical guitarist, composer, music educator, and recent graduate of the Yale School of Music. Flippin has been a prizewinner in several guitar and composition competitions and has been praised for the originality of his pieces and the excitement in his playing and teaching. Jazz flutist Ali Ryerson will perform in concert with guitarist Joe Carter
Ali Ryerson has emerged as one of the most exciting and versatile flutists on the scene today. She has performed with such diverse talents as Dr. Billy Taylor, Kenny Barron, Stephane Grappelli, Frank Wess, Red Rodney, Laurindo Almeida, Art Farmer, Maxine Sullivan, Roy Haynes, Julius Baker, and (as principal flutist with the Monterey Bay Symphony) with Luciano Pavarotti. Joe Carter is back for his second appearance at the Art Center. He has published several text books, recorded numerous CD’s and performed throughout the world. Cavanaugh and Kavanaugh
perform original songs and tunes on guitars, mandolin, fiddle, mountain dulcimer, banjo and more. Much of the traditional music Deb and Dick perform is in the Irish and Southern Old Time tradition. Life partners, as well as musical partners, who coincidentally share the same last name, they enjoy performing together and sharing their stories and songs with an audience. A subtle blend of ethnicity, humor and more, they bring their varied experiences to life on the stage. Suggested donation: $10/door.

David LaFleur - Solo Acoustic Roots Music
David LaFleur has a rich tenor voice and a mastery of the guitar, dobro, mandolin, and dulcimer, and has been performing his unique mixture of folk, blues, and bluegrass for more than 20 years. A former nuclear engineer turned full-time musician, LaFleur learned his “chops” performing among such acts as Danny Gatton, Nils Lofgren, and the Johnson Mountain Boys. He has opened for Emmy Lou Harris, Tom Rush, and the Seldom Scene, and his original music has been featured on TV as well as National Public Radio. David LaFleur presently lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of West Virginia with his fearless wonderdog Paco. Suggested donation: $10/door

David Gonzalez and The Latin Jazz Experience are relatively young musicians who have come on the scene in the past few years. The group is an ensemble of gifted players who have been influenced by some of the greats such as Tito Puente, Manny Oquendo, Machito, Ray Barreto, and Ruben Gonzalez. David Gonzalez has trained and performed with many artists including Jimmy Greene, Ray Gonzalez Orchestra, Helen Baylor, Los Hermanos Moreno, Daniel Salazar and many others. Nick Cutroneo, Classical Guitar
Known for being a “communicative player with natural musicality,” Nick Cutroneo is an up and coming classical guitar of the new generation.  As an active performer, Mr. Cutroneo has performed extensively throughout the New England area, New York, New Jersey and in Italy.  Pervious concert seasons included performances at The Juilliard School of Music, The Hartt School, as a part of numerous concert series of churches in New Jersey, a duo performance and participation at a master class at Yale’s “Guitar Day”, several Alumni events for the University of Hartford, in 2005 he was a part of a trio that performed for the Connecticut Guitar Society’s “Guitar Extravaganza Weekend” and a variety of other performances throughout the Northeast. Classical Guitarist, Stanley Alexandrowicz
Classical Guitarist Stanley Alexandrowicz is becoming internationally renowned for his virtuosic musicality, insightful interpretations, and refined guitarism. In addition to his command of the instrument's standard repertoire, he has premiered and commissioned over 100 works by composers from Europe, Asia, North America, Cuba, and South America. He is truly an "artist-of-our-time."

A native of New Jersey, he began his musical studies at the age of eight, and was soon receiving both awards and accolades. He next entered the Manhattan School of Music wherein the influence of his mentor Manuel Barrueco profoundly influenced his musical outlook. He was awarded the "Doctor of Musical Arts" degree in 1994. Suggested donation: $10/door
