INTERESTED IN TEACHING?

Windsor Art Center Studios is seeking creative, responsible artists to teach workshops that meet for either 1 week, 2 week, 4 week, or 8 week sessions. Windsor Art Center is responsible for all participant registrations, marketing and scheduling– the teacher simply proposes the workshop and teaches it! We are excited to expand our programming through a range of diverse topics and mediums.

Interested? Please follow this link to the WAC Class Proposal Form  for current information regarding expectations and teacher compensation. Our educational coordinator will review your proposal and reach out for a follow up. Only completed applications received with all necessary supplements as requested in the application will be considered.
Please note: this is not a binding contract, and your class is not guaranteed to move forward.

For those interested in offering a longer session of classes, there is the opportunity to rent the classroom space. Teachers pay a rental fee for the time secured and set their own prices for their course. All registrations, marketing, etc. are then the responsibility of the teacher. Please email classes@windsorartcenter.org for more information regarding policies and fees. Rental dates will be confirmed in accordance with other classes, and events.

Cancellation and Refunds

WAC reserves the right to make changes in classes, workshops, schedules, instructors, and cancel a class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment.

For students who withdraw:

8 or more days before the start of a workshop, their options are:

  • Transfer to another course: Payments already made will be applied towards the new class or workshop. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded.
  • Receive a refund: A 15% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund. Refunds will be issued within 30 days from the cancellation date.

3 days or less before the start of a workshop, it is NOT possible to transfer to another class or refund any tuition because markerting and material budget have already been invested in that specific class, and it will be difficult to fill your spot with another student before the workshop begins.

Please Note: Cancellations must be made in writing by email and confirmed by the Windsor Art Center to be valid. Phone cancellations are not accepted. WAC does not issue refunds for classes or workshops missed by the student.

Unexpected Cancellation

If it is necessary to cancel a meeting of any class or workshop due to inclement weather, instructor illness, or other emergency, WAC will notify students by email and text. We will work to reschedule the workshop and notify students of the new date. If the workshop needs to be cancelled, students will receive a full refund.

Materials Policy

WAC does NOT require students to shop for a lengthy list of their own materials to bring into class. Nor do we require students to bring in an extra cash material fee. For our students' convenience, we provide all materials for each workshop. Because of that, we must estimate costs many months in advance from when your class begins, and we keep the classroom stocked with basic art supplies at all times.

If you need specialized materials to teach your workshop, please note that on your WAC Class Proposal Form and it can be discussed with our educational coordinator. We will do our best to purchase extra materials, within reason.

WAC admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate or collect information on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and other school-administered programs.
